Center of Traditional Handcraft of Ioannina (Kepavi)

A silversmiths' cooperative, Kepavii sells the silverware and jewelery produced by 44 regional workshops. Items vary in style and technique, including many traditional Epirote pieces as well as some interesting modern ones. The prices are good, and there's something to suit all pockets. You can also take a tour of some of the workshops and watch the smiths practicing their fine skills.

This is a really interesting and modern little gift shop, with handmade and painted objects like sunglasses, tote bags and clutches, painted postcards, and lighting frames of the town made by local artists. They also sell herbal olive oil soaps.

On Nissi, you will find a handful of quaint little stores selling replicas of traditional objects, such as Turkish water pipes and ornate knives, silver pillboxes encrusted with semiprecious stones, ceramic vases, and jewelry.
