Prosopa Review

Despite the regular influx of local celebrities, this modern, industrial looking bar-restaurant near the train tracks has never lost its friendly, down-to-earth face (after all, Prosopa means "faces" in Greek). Service is impeccable —expect to be treated "on the house" with a plate of appetizers upon arrival, as well as with dessert and liqueurs upon departure. Menu faves include shrimp wrapped in spaghetti of potato and mango sauce, vegetable salad with hot goat cheese, pistachio, and apple vinagrette, or the rump steak with espresso sauce and figs. Food and wine are of exceptional quality, music is played at the right level, the waiting staff is attentive and helpful: this hip eaterie is definitely worth the short taxi ride to its slightly off-the-beaten-track location (where it moved from its previous home in 2010). On Sunday only lunch is served.
