Electra Palace Review

If you want simple elegance, excellent service, and a great location, this is the hotel for you—rooms from the fifth floor up have a view of the Acropolis and in summer you can bask in the sunshine at the outdoor swimming pool as you take in the view of Athens's greatest monument or catch the sunset from the rooftop garden. Located on an attractive backstreet close to the area's museums, its guest rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated, with ample storage space. Before setting out in the morning, fill up with one of the city's best buffet breakfasts—sausage, pancakes, and home fries. In the evening, relax in a steam bath in the hotel spa, have a drink in the shady garden or enjoy a greek dinner.

    Electra Palace Review

    We stayed at this hotel Oct 1st - Oct 5th. Our Superior View Room was on a higher floor (6th?) but not the top floor. The Acropolis view from our balcony was spectacular and worth the extra cost of booking this room type. We enjoyed a cocktail their every night before dinner watching the gorgeous Athens sunset. The rooms were wellappointed and smart. They had all the usual bells and whistles. Our only complaint about the hotel were the hard beds. But that is not uncommon in Europe so not a big deal for us.

    The staff were charming and very helpful with directions or arranging a guide. We would certainly stay here again and highly recommend the location on the edge of the Plaka and central shopping areas.
