Steinhäuser Hof Review

This architectural gem in the heart of the Old Town dates back to 1276 and is one of the oldest preserved stone mansions in Rhineland-Palatinate. The rooms are on the small side and have few frills, but are a good value for the prime location in the heart of the Altstadt. In the handsome restaurant ($$-$$$), half-timber facades line the courtyard, creating a lovely backdrop for an outdoor meal. There's a good selection of fish, steak, and game. Many sauces are flavored with beer, wine, or spirits. For a "flaming finale," try the Feigen (figs) in Pernod flambéed table-side.
