As the first hotel by the hot French furniture designer Christophe Pillet, Le Sezz mixes rough, stacked stone walls reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright with flashes of bright color and tall glass sculptures. One-way glass walls separate the sleeping areas from the Boffi-designed bathrooms; many have tubs big enough for two. The owner has pushed the trend of scaled-down reception desks even further by not having one at all. All the paperwork is done in advance, so you can go directly to your room without having to stand around in the lobby. A champagne bar and Espace Bien-Être ("well-being center," or spa) cater to a hip new generation of international jet-setters.
