Fodor's Review

If you love the quirky and eclectic fashions of Christian Lacroix and don't mind hauling your bags up some steps, this unique boutique hotel overlooking Notre-Dame may be for you. Located up a steep flight of stairs from the busy Latin Quarter, this hotel is a kaleidescope of colors and fabrics. Carpets are made to resemble cobblestones or wood parquet. Some of the original wooden beams from the 17th-century building are incorporated into the decor. Corner rooms like No. 32 or No. 52 have large windows with the best views. Room 25 overlooks the airshaft, so a flat-screen TV with a live video feed of the cathedral has been added as a real-time "window." Every room has luxurious bedding, iPod docking stations, and extra-large showers. Do not confuse this place with the nearby Hotel de Notre Dame.
