This little family-run hotel by the city walls, near the Dolder belfry, blends modern comforts with bare-stone walls, dark-timber ceilings, and a dining room that serves up firelit romance as well as delicious cuisine; the top-floor duplex suite is an exceptional value. Specialties at the time-burnished restaurant include fine foie gras, frogs' legs in garlic cream, and venison with red cabbage and späetzle (it's closed Monday and doesn't serve dinner Sunday or lunch Tuesday).
