Traveling from Feldkirch to the Arlberg Pass you'll come to the village of Stuben, poised right above the 14-km (8.6-mile) -long Arlberg Tunnel. From the beginning of December to the end of April the magnificent skiing makes Stuben popular among serious skiers—this is a smaller, quieter village steeped in skiing tradition and a draw for those looking for perhaps a more authentic Austrian experience. Stuben has skiing links with St. Anton and St. Christoph, and, by way of short ski-bus link, Lech and Zürs. For information on its skiing facilities, contact the Arlberg region tourist office.
