A gemütlich atmosphere enfolds in this family-owned Relais & Chateaux chalet hotel, with murals, flower boxes, and a wood-paneled interior of extravagant luxury. Some of the suites are huge, with canopied beds and bathrooms that are a work of art. The panoramic restaurant Postblick is one of the best in town. Try the venison ragout with cranberry crème fraîche or the roasted fillet of trout with dill potatoes, and save space for one of the outstanding desserts. Another of the hotel's restaurants, Kutscherstuben, serves excellent regional Austrian dishes; if the weather's nice, try to get a table on the garden terrace.
