Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa Review

The only resort in Vieux Fort, Coconut Bay is a sprawling (85 acres), family-friendly, seaside retreat minutes from St. Lucia's Hewanorra International Airport. The ocean views are beautiful, and the beach has lovely white sand; but the resort faces the Atlantic Ocean, so swimming in the sea is restricted to an area protected by a manmade reef. Kitesurfing, however, is a huge attraction here. Otherwise, you'll find three swimming pools and a water park with a lazy river, waterslides, and swim-up bar. The resort is divided into two sections: Harmony is restricted to adults; Splash, on the opposite side of the property, is a tropical playground for families with kids. The Frégate Island and Maria Islands are just offshore, and St. Lucia's Pitons and other natural attractions in Soufrière are 45 minutes away by car. Otherwise, you'll have to be content with the activities at the resort—four restaurants, a full-service spa, and plenty of space to relax and socialize.

stay on the west side of the island!

This resort kept running out of bananas for the drinks - pretty sad when the island's major export is bananas!! They kept running out of everything, actually. The DJ at the disco wouldn't play any requests, the food was only average, seaweed was so bad they use heavy machinery daily to pick it up off beaches. The wind NEVER stops blowing, spend the extra bucks and stay on the west side of this island - water was much calmer and clearer, 100% better all around.
