Boat and Ferry Travel

St Barth can be reached by sea via ferry service or charter boat. There are three companies that provide passenger ferry service between St. Maartin and St. Barth, so check each provider's timetable to determine the most convenient departure. All service is to and from Quai de la République in Gustavia. Voyager offers round-trips for about $100 per person from either Marigot or Oyster Pond. Great Bay Express has several round-trips a day from Bobby's Marina in St. Maarten for €55 if reserved in advance, or €60 for same-day departures. Babou One, a new, stabilized, air-conditioned boat run by West Indies Ferry Express with service between Marigot and Gustavia, takes only 70 minutes. There are three convenient departures daily, at a cost of about €50 for adults, €35 for children under 12 (each way). Private boat charters are also available, but they are very expensive; Master Ski Pilou is one of the companies that offer the service.
