Anse Tartane
Anse Tartane Review
This patch of sand is on the wild side of the Presqu'île du Caravelle. It's what the French call a sauvage (virgin) beach, and the only people you are likely to see are brave surfers who ride the high waves or some local families. The surf school here has taught many kids the ropes. Résidence Oceane looks down on all of this action but doesn't have a restaurant. Turn right before you get to La Trinité, and follow the route de Château past the Caravelle hotel. Instead of following the signs to Résidence Oceane, veer left and go downhill when you see the ocean. The road runs right beside the beach. There are several bays and pointes here, but if you keep heading to the right, you can reach the surf school.
