Club Med Buccaneer's Creek

  • On one of the island's best beaches
  • Club Med energy is contagious
  • Even waterskiing is included
  • Enjoyable, professional entertainment in lounge before dinner
  • Always a safe haven

  • No small catamarans or windsurfing
  • No in-room Wi-Fi
  • In-room elements are dated, like the bedding
  • Some first-timers just don't like the Club Med style. As one guest puts it "not all rooms are created equal." Choose carefully
  • Standard rooms should not be your first choice. Ocean-view with a balcony or beachfront should be. Tower rooms are popular for their view and individuality but are petite

Fodor's Review

At what's one of the French chain's most upscale, sophisticated resorts, and the huge, seaside pool has sensual Indonesian beds. The main buffet is consistently appealing and often exceptional, such as when seared foie gras is offered as an appetizer on Gala Night. When reserving, request the dress code for the various theme nights, so that you can look the part. Shopping at the hip boutique will help, too. The resort attracts an international mix of singles, couples, and families, even though there is no kids' club. This branch has always had a fun quotient, and everyone parties until the wee hours, heading out the next day to the spa for a rejuvenating massage or a marine body wrap so they can do it all over again. If staying elsewhere but want to sample the Club Med style you can purchase a day or night pass for €93.
