Alexandra Mosher Studio Jewellery

Fodor's choice

After her line of elegant pink-sand-inspired jewelry took off at craft markets and Harbour Nights, artist Alexandra Mosher opened up a light and airy store to showcase her beautiful designs. The shop is as much a work of art as her jewelry, with a pink-sand-beach-inspired mosaic at the entrance of the store designed by local artist Nikki Murray-Mason. Mosher's designs grace the necks, wrists, and fingers of locals and visitors alike; look no further for the perfect souvenir of time spent in Bermuda.

1609 Design

The store is known for its Bermuda-made and Bermuda-inspired designs including delicate necklaces—perfect for layering—with gems in soothing tropical palettes, gemstone bracelets, and a selection of pretty earrings from artist Joanna Stapff. The shop expanded into a bigger, light-filled space just upstairs from its original location but with the addition of clothes and lifestyle gifts. Although, their sister shop, The Little Buttery, and former location in the Old Cellar Lane, has been transformed into a pantry with unique international food items, a large amount from Germany.

Astwood Dickinson

Established in 1904, this store has built a reputation for its exquisite unmounted stones; upscale jewelry, including designs by Birks and Hearts on Fire; and a wide range of Swiss watches. Baume & Mercier, Omega, and Tag Heuer watches, among other famous names, are sold at U.S. prices with the benefit of no sales tax. The shop's Bermuda Collection, designed and created in the workshop, ranges from 18-karat gold charms to bejeweled pendants representing the island's flora and fauna. Visit the Sunglass & Watch Shop on Reid St, the sister store, which stocks a large selection of designer sunglass brands.
