3 Best Nightlife in The Southern Out Islands, Bahamas

Regatta Beach Fish Fry

For an authentic Bahamian experience, don't miss the Regatta Beach Fish Fry on Regatta Beach, just south of the government buildings in the town center. On weekends, at least two fish shacks open late in the afternoon and stay lively into the night. It's a great place for sunset watching and mingling with locals.

Stella Maris Resort

This resort often has live music on the weekends, including Rake 'n' Scrape. Every Thursday night is their Rum Punch Party, which includes rum punch, conch fritters, and dinner ($55 for nonguests). The clubhouse bar has a pool table and foosball, plus a huge rum collection. The restaurant has an excellent selection of wines. Ask about the frequent (in winter) Cave Party, where folks gather round and dine on barbecued treats in a cave. Call ahead to make reservations.

The Fish Fry

Matthew Town

A collection of fish shacks next to the water is open on weekends, with DJs occasionally playing music in the covered pavilion next door.
