Fodor's Review:
The Hanmer Springs Thermal Reserve remains the number-one reason to visit the area and consists of nine thermal pools, three sulfur pools, one freshwater pool, a family activity pool, and two waterslides. There are also four private thermal pools, as well as sauna and steam rooms. Massage and beauty treatments are available, too, and even more new spa facilities are planned for the near future.
- Cost: $10; private pool, steam, or sauna $34 per ½ hr (minimum 2 people), hydroslide $5
