The Riverside Review
A random assortment of wooden rooms and terraces gives this place an easygoing charm—perched above the sluggish Wang River, it's a great place for a casual meal. The moderately priced Thai and European fare is generally excellent (although the steak, from local beef, is to be avoided), and on weekends the chef serves up a very passable pizza. Most nights a live band performs, but there are so many quiet corners that you can easily escape the music. Quietest corner of all is the Riverside's own guest house, a cozy ensemble of teak rooms just a short walk from the restaurant.
