Tokyo Shopping

Roppongi Hills

Updated 08/19/2013

Fodor's Review

Roppongi Hills. You could easily spend a whole day exploring the retail areas of this minicity, a complex of shops, restaurants, residential and commercial towers, a nine-screen cineplex, the Grand Hyatt Tokyo hotel, and the Mori Art Museum—all wrapped around the TV Asahi studios and sprawled out in five zones located between the Roppongi intersection and Azabu Juban. The shops here emphasize eye-catching design and chichi brands. The world's only Alexander McQueen

accessories store and Estnation, with its often-occurring pop-up shops, are good destinations. Finding a particular shop, however, can be a hassle given the building's Escher-like layout. To navigate this minicity, go to the information center to retrieve a floor guide with color-coded maps in English; most of the staff members speak English as well. 6–10–1 Roppongi, Minato-ku, Roppongi, Tokyo, 106-6101. 03/6406–6000. www.roppongihills.com/en/. Most shops daily 11–9. Subway: Hibiya and Oedo subway lines, Roppongi Station (Roppongi Hills Exit).
