Green Plaza Shinjuku Review

Male budget travelers in Shinjuku willing to throw claustrophobia to the wind can settle in for a night at the Green Plaza, a capsule hotel in the entertainment district of Kabuki-cho. As with most capsule hotels, there are no accommodations for women. Like bees in a honeycomb, patrons sleep in yellow capsules stacked in rows along the halls of each floor. Korean-style massage (on the fifth floor) is an added option not common in the capsule world. Vending machines on three floors dispense drinks, soup, and snacks. Underwear, slacks, and neckties are available for emergency purchases. The environment isn't tranquil, but it's clean, safe, and cheap.
