Kogeikan (Crafts Gallery at the National Museum of Modern Art)

Kogeikan (Crafts Gallery at the National Museum of Modern Art) Review

For those who are interested in modern and traditional Japanese crafts, this museum is worth seeing. Built in 1910, the Kogeikan, once the headquarters of the Imperial Guard, is a Gothic Revival redbrick building. The exhibits are all too few, but many master artists are represented here in the traditions of lacquerware, textiles, pottery, bamboo, and metalwork.
