Fodor's Review

A novel written at the beginning of the 11th century, The Tale of Genji is a masterpiece that depicts the life of an imperial prince. The final chapters are set in the Uji region, and are commonly referred to as the Uji-Jujo, or the Ten Uji Chapters. At this beautiful museum can relive the classic epic through a variety of well-made displays, colorful murals, and interesting videos, as well as rotating seasonal exhibits. It's an eight-minute walk from Keihan

Uji Station.
