Arashiyama Monkey Park (Arashiyama Monkey Park)
Arashiyama Monkey Park (Arashiyama Monkey Park) Review
After hiking for 15 minutes up a low-lying mountain, you can feed wild monkeys who are carefully tracked and cared for by friendly staffers. Study the family photos of the 150 or so macaques that line the walls of the visitor's hut and try to pick out who is who. A great view of Kyoto and the mountains beyond makes the trip worthwhile even if you're not a monkey lover. The paths are not paved, so choose your footwear wisely on rainy days. Look for the monkey sign at the south end of the bridge.
