Kyoto Station (Kyoto-eki)

Updated 09/20/2013

Fodor's Review

Kyoto's train station, derided as an eyesore by some and hailed as an architectural masterpiece by others, is more than just the city's central point of arrival and departure: the station houses dozens of shops and restaurants and offers great views of the city from the 12th floor. With time to kill before your train, enjoy a coffee at one of the many cafés or try one of a handful of the city's most famous ramen shops that are clustered on the 10th floor.
