Le Meridien (Ai mei jiudian) Review

With sweeping views of Xiamen Bay, this stunning property feels more like a high-end Southeast-Asian resort than a crowded Chinese metropolitan lodging. From the jasmine-scented aroma when you walk through the door to the tasteful elevator music, every detail is carefully planned and executed. Sleek guest rooms are decorated with furnishings reminiscent of mid-century modern design (think Barcelona chairs), and come equipped with iPod docking stations and DVD players. Choose from trekking through the area's lush hills, bicycling on nearby trails, or a couple games tennis.
