A stone's throw from West Lake, this high-end hotel is in a lively neighborhood of restaurants, bars, and shops. Gauzy curtains and etched-glass and -wood columns divide the distinctive lobby, distinguished by a gold-and-black mural of the city's landmarks. The rooms—most of which have lake views—are thoughtfully designed, with sleek oval desks, fabric-covered headboards, and a glass privacy screen in the bathroom. A Roman-style pool overcomes its drab basement location. The hotel is a block north of Orioles Singing in the Willow Waves.
