Olive & Fish
Olive & Fish Review
The location, near major hotels, is part of its success, but Olive & Fish pleases locals on its own merits. With no trendy pretensions, the restaurant draws an older crowd. The glass-enclosed front porch is popular; the interior, with pale yellow walls, framed prints, and unintrusive lighting is a warm and inviting, if not memorable, setting. For starters, try the grilled eggplant in tahini sauce or the excellent sirloin salad. Great fish options are the freshwater St. Peter's fish (tilapia), done with artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes, white wine, and lemon, or the sea bass fillet. Other temptations are delectable lamb and beef kebabs, or tender pargiyot (spring chicken chunks) in date honey sauce or Middle Eastern seasonings. Save room for one of the pies or chocolate creations.
