Fodor's Expert Review Kulm Hotel St. Moritz
Via Veglia 18, St. Moritz, Graubünden, 7500, Switzerland Fodor's Choice
This luxury hotel can claim its share of St. Moritz superlatives: it was the first hotel here (1856) and the first house to have electricity in all of Switzerland (1878), but modern comfort has come a long way, as seen in top-quality facilities like a 9-hole golf course and putting green, ice-skating and curling in the colder months, and six in-house restaurants (two open only in winter). Rooms vary between a more traditional and a more modern style; though they differ in size and decor, all feature wood accents and luxe bathrooms. Half-board is usually included in the rates, and guests have a wide range of choices including the Grand Restaurant, a romantic vaulted space, with a menu of international cuisine, the K Restaurant by star chef Mauro Colagreco, and Peruvian cuisine at Sunny Bar. The Kulm Spa features a saltwater grotto, indoor-outdoor pool, and top-notch fitness center (complete with inspired views).
