XMAS in NY-MUST SEE DECORATIONS?

I'll be in NY a week before Christmas, what places, streets and/or stores are MUST sees? I know about the Rockefeller tree, so I look forward to that...where else and what else please?

When you go to Rockefeller Center, walk across the street to St Patrick's Cathedral and the window's at Sachs. Take a carriage ride through Central Park (make sure they take you past Tavern on the Green which is beautiful at night). The tree at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is magnificent. The lobby of the Plaza Hotel is also decked out for Christmas. While you are there walk across the street to FAO Schwartz. If you head downtown, go to the Seaport.

The window displays at Saks and Lord and Taylor are not to be missed. Each year they have different theme and are little shows in themselves. Last year, Saks' theme was The Nutcracker. My fondest memory is when it was about the Velveteen Rabbit.

Try very hard to get tickets for the Rockettes Christmas Show at Radio City - it is a real holiday treat like no other. (splurge for golden circle tickets) Don't miss the rare antique Italian Nativity in the front hall of The Metropolitan Museum - hand carved by all the famous old world masters there are hundreds of pieces making up an entire village. Spectacular!

don't forget my favorite---Tiffany's! Macy's does a decent job too. The world trade center had a miniature train display once and the south street seaport has carolers and many decorations. Absolutely do not miss ABC Homes store on Broadway and 18th. The cafe there, The Parlour Cafe is delightful, though not inexpensive. I could wander around that store any day of the year and be in awe. At Christmas time--they outdo themselves!
