Where to stay near Whitefish

I am going on a biking/hiking trip through Glacier and Waterton and will be staying in the parks for a week at various lodges.

My question is that I can’t figure out where to stay near the airport before my trip departs and for a night after it ends. I’m considering the Grouse Mountain Lodge or the Old Medicine Lodge since they have availability. My group meets at the Grouse Mountain Lodge but it appears to be a bit out of town and I have read some not so flattering reviews on trip advisor about noise and I'm a light sleeper. I won’t have a car so I’m also concerned about being isolated without transportation. I’m guessing that there might be more to do or at least more restaurant options near the Old Medicine Lodge since it appears to be downtown. Any suggestions from those who have been there would be appreciated.

Whenever we get out to the Flathead Valley, we stay in a little community called Methlab, Montana.

John - you are correct. I did put the name in wrong. It is the Good Medicine Lodge.

Thank you.

Can't comment on the rooms as I live in the area and of course do not use the motels or lodges. I can tell you that both properties you mention are about the same distance to downtown and restaurants.
Grouse Mountain has 3 good restaurants on tne property. Not sure about Good Medicine. Grouse also has a shuttle van which will take you just about anywhere in Whitefish.
Both are also approx. the same distance from the airport, 12 miles or so.
Have a great trip in the great Northwest!
