What's new on Maui?
My family (23 y.o. son and husband) will be travelling to Maui in November staying at the Polo Beach Club between Wailea and Makena. This is probably our 7th or 8th trip to Maui (we get a free condo!), and we have done and seen many (most?) of the typical tourist attractions. We were last there 3 years ago.
What are some of the newer or more offbeat things to do/see?
What new restaurants do you recommend?
What are good snorkeling options near our condo? Through our many trips, we haven't done much snorkeling.
Thanks in advance for your input.

Ahihi reserve south of Makena has excellent snorkeling.
There is a short, rocky path from the dirt parking lot(don't leave any valuables in the car) to the beach.
Enter on the south side of the small beach and head in any direction.
As with most Maui snorkeling beaches, the earlier you go the better.

How about a foraging/farm tour at O'o Farms in Kula?

We had a good time! My husband is into plants and gardening, and he got a lot of ideas about how to plant our fruit and veggie garden from this tour at O'o. I am NOT a gardener, but even I had fun.

Ahihi may still be posted kapu by the Department of Land Management.
Good beaches from the Kamaole Beach Parks in South Kihei on through Wailea and Makena. Keawakapu is nice -- front of the Mana Kai condo/tel, home to Five Palms restaurant (B,L,D).
The Hyatt Andaaz finally opened -- on the site of the old Renaisance Hotel between Elua and Ekahi condos.
Maybe YOU will tell US what you find!

Well it's not new but I loved this show and it rarely gets mentioned here.
U'lalena at the Myth and Magic Theater in Lahaina. Kind of a Cirque de Soleil meets luau and island history. Quite unique.

New to us restaurants we liked this past February are Migrant and Monkeypod Kitchen in Wailea. Old favorites that we continue to love are Hailimaile General Store and Sansei.
We did most of our beach time on Mokapu and Ulua Beach. LOVE them both.
