What do you think about Asian tourist manner?

Hi,

I am a student studying culture and I had a question about what your thoughts were on Asian tourists and their manner when they visit European countries.

It would also help if you could identify which culture you mostly relate yourself with!
Thank you so much.

I think this question is way to broad for you to get any meaningful responses. Asia is a large continent made up of many different cultures. It is impossible to make generalizations about Asians as a whole.

Since you are studying culture, I think you need to refine your question(s) based on the type of research that you are doing.

Also, this is the US board and you are asking about visitors to Europe.

Sounds like you are not taking a survey but fermenting prejudice. As noted there are many different cultures, histories, languages, and races that comprise Asian, so in this context it is meaningless.

They are like a bad wine.

There are others who lump together all Asians. When I used to hear the marketing people say let's sell to Asian-Americans, I used to counter, "Do you use the term European-Americans?" Even if the OI, Original Idiot, is gone, there are many who think Asians are one amorphous group.

I did get the joke, hence the wine comment. Do you need a full attestation with a wet signature that I used an "e" rather than an "o"?

A friend of mine is from Istanbul - the side east of the Bosphorus. When his extended family visited the area as tourists last summer they were grateful, kind visitors.

Hence, my impression is that Asian tourists are nothing but ideal.

logandog, the video was commissioned by China Central Television and aimed at reminding Chinese tourists to be on their best behavior. But many Chinese took offense at it.

Which Asians confuse you, Israeli Jews, Indian Hindus, Indonesian Muslims, Filipino Catholics, Japanese Shintos, Korean Evangelicals, Tibetan Buddhists, or Chinese Confucians? Or do their languages, cultures, histories, and cuisine, seem similar?

I am an Asian myself and I think that although there are many different groups and differences among the Asians, there are also commonalities among their culture, at least comparing them to the Western countries.

IAMDonehere - "Israeli Jews"? What? Asians? If so, then why not Israeli Arabs?
