All she asks is that we figure out fun things to do (specially at night).
We're a commercial film production company of 6 from Oslo, Norway. We'd love to get some tips on special and fun things to do in LA first week of May. Conserts, shows, special places that no tourists have heard about , nice bars and restaurants etc. Or spectacular things....
We're staying in Santa Monica and we have only one thing planned: VIP tour at Universial studios. We love "Entourage" and would love to see the places that Vince hangs out or meet Vince for that matter . Good tips are very welcome.

You are in a great location for shopping, dining, and sightseeing... the SantaMonica Pier can be fun as well as the Third Street Promenade for shopping and restaurants... make sure to add Hollywood for that movieland feel and Beverly Hills to feel the Glitz... A visit to Venice Beach on the Weekend is an odd but fun look at the California life... have fun!

I'll leave the Clubs to the Younger posters... the popularity changes weekly....

Santa Monica is an awesome base to be..head up to Malibu and maybe Santa Barbara for the day..its about an hour plus and have lunch at the gorgeous San Ysidro Ranch..next to Oprah's estate.
Maybe take in a TV taping of Ellen.
Dine for breakfast at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Ride bikes on the boardwalk.
Entourage is a great show and the cast are great.
Being in LA, your bound to see some stars.
Have fun!

I understand that they film at Urth Caffe. I've only been to the downtown LA one (it's in the loft area) but they would be at West Hollywood or Beverly Hills.

I found a website for you using Google. The Edison downtown is in there, as is the Standard rooftop bar.

A few other places I would add are Bazaar at the SLS hotel (Beverly Hills) and Drai's (new rooftop at the W in West Hollywood).

In fact if it's not too late you might want to switch your hotel to the W.
