We want to go to AZ the week of April 20 to 26, from Wisconsin. We would like a nice place (perhaps no more than $200ish a night?) so that we can budget for golf as well. Kind of on overload right now looking at various sites and reading reviews, etc. Prefer a smaller resort type place, not fond of giant hotels. Will probably golf and chill by the pool, eat out, might be able to talk him into a teeny bit of checking out the shops. We won't be needing a gym or workout room.......not familiar with the area at all. I was looking at the Scottsdale area.....thought that would be better than Phoenix for relaxing......but the area is not firm. So many choices.....can anyone offer any suggestions to check out? We will be

Pick the resort you want, and don't worry about which town it's in -- they all run together (Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, Carefree,Paradise Valley....). When you research resorts, they list all of them as "Phoenix and Environs"
good to know. thanks. not knowing the area, i figured they were reasonably close, but wasn't really sure. we are trying to go a different place each year now that the kids have grown. plus, we want to get an idea of areas we like so we an be snow birds in a few years!
We have had good luck bidding on Priceline for Phoenix but you need to know what you are doing. Look at the resorts.
Thanks, guys. I think I found a condo in Paradise Valley that I'm on the fence about. Price is good. Area "sounds" nice. It's so hard when you are not from the area....
Millenium Scottsdale Resort has a Cyber Monday deal 50% off..don't know restrictions but it's worth a look.
