tickets available for Yankee/Red Sox games
Just wanted to thank the person who posted the suggestion to try stubhub.com for Yankee/Red Sox tickets for Saturday night's game. We were able to get tickets! My son was thrilled to see his favorite team, the Yankees, play.

For the Stadium decent seats (Field box between home and one of the bases - but NOT front rows - are now going for about $3000 each. And the prices seem to be rising daily. You got a great bargain.

Ryan, you were correct though, about the language of some of the fans. The woman sitting next to my husband and son did not stop cursing, spilling beer, and disturbing everyone around her. Amazingly, it turned out she and her friends were high school teachers! Believe me I am the biggest fan of teachers, but that was quite disappointing.

I don't remember who originated this quote, but it goes something like, "You'll be making a big mistake if you assume the patrons of Fenway Park are John Updike and 30,000 Harvard professors."
Fans are fans, no matter where you go. And are you saying you encountered only one obnoxious drunk at Fenway? That would be a man-bites-dog story.

Went to the game last night. The only drunk escorted out of the park that I saw was a Yankee fan. Loud, swearing, spilling beer, trying hard to goad Red Sox fans into a fight. Glad security got rid of them regardless of what emblem was on their hat. Neither team's fans have a lock on decorum. But still had a ball and loved the outcome of course.

Before you Sox fans get too excited about Pedro, I just think you should know that I'm 6-0 with the Twix Bars.
What, you want me to explain?
Before game 2 of the Yankees-Twins Series, I joked with my office mate that I'm going to eat one of his Twix bars for luck. They won. Did it again, they won again. And again. And again. etc. etc.
They haven't lost yet when I've eaten the Twix bar and I just had one. Sure, I'll gain 10 pounds but....

Well then in that case it is lights out. Have you informed Vegas about the Twix incident?
14 more Twix bars and you have motched our beloved Patriots. Yes, we now know what it is like to be a Yankee fan;-)

Hey, if a Red Sox fan can write on ESPN.com about how a bird deficated on him and that means it's the Sox year, I can have my Twix bar theory.
BTW, I remember Rich Garces, so I'm not really banking on the Twix theory.
