The Hungry Cat in LA, anyone?

I saw an article in Metropolitan Home about this newish restaurant (Suzanne Goin is a partner). Sounds great and reasonable at the same time. Has anyone been? At Vine and Sunset.

Neopolitan,

I personally haven't been to The Hungry Cat, but I used to live near that area and have heard many great things. You may want to go to www.chowhound.com, click on the Los Angeles forum, and do a Ctrl+F search for hungry cat. The numerous reviews on that site all pretty much agree that it's a good place, although the place itself is small and the menu limited.

Thanks. That did make for some very interesting reading. Seems to be some wildly varying opinions particularly about the seafood which is the bulk of the menu. But everybody raves about the "pug burger" except for someone who says there's too much blue cheese on it. Huh? That isn't possible for me!

if you go to lthforum.com and search within the "beyond chicagoland" forum, someone very recently wrote up a review with pictures.

Wow. And I always thought the Chowhound site was difficult to navigate! But I found it. Thanks.

Hi Neopolitan,

LTH is really a Chicago-specific site but they added a "Beyond Chicago" forum because people were going off topic, discussing vacations, etc. It's actually a pretty easy site to navigate and the search function works well. Definitely check it out if you ever visit Chicago!

Actually I should apologize for that comment. I guess my problem stemmed from not paying attention. When I put hungry cat in the search function I got something like 95 posts. Huh? Then I realized I didn't click for exact phrase so I got every post than included the word hungry in it.
In hindsight, it is infinitely better to navigate than Chowhound.
