Teen Safety in Vegas
(my message seems to be getting lost, sorry if you've seen this before- when i click on my name, it doesn't show up)
I am taking my 17 yo daughter and a friend to Las Vegas this month. They are well traveled and capable, but from a small midwestern town, not from NYC. How safe would it be to allow them to wander the strip and meet us back at the hotel? I know they can't drink or gamble- I'm wondering about general safety. I tried the LVPD for an answer but didn't get a clear one.
Also- evening, on the hotel (Aria) property? I was pretty sure that would be ok.
Any input?
Thanks.

All of the major resorts have wall to wall security cameras and guards. The strip is a pretty safe place because of all of the tourists.
We would let our teens roam freely there when they are in groups.

"The Deuce" buses run up and down the strip. $7 for a 24 hour pass. If they take the Deuce all the way north to the Fremont Street Experience, they can ride a zipline under the big screen.
If you or they like a great buffet (cheaper before 3PM), check the Golden Nugget on Fremont. While at the Golden Nugget, near the lobby, you can see the world's largest gold nugget on public display. 62 lb. 11 oz.
They can also get a gondola ride at the Venetian and watch the fountain show at the Bellagio.
