Snooke Harbour House

We are considering staying at Snooke Harbour House on Vancouver Island and am interested in opinions regarding rooms, food, service and staying there versus downtown Victoria. We are first time visitors to Vancouver Island.

It's Sooke Harbour House - not Snooke. It's a wonderful place to stay and dine, just recently renovated. They have a great web site with pictures of their rooms, etc.

I would stay there and drive into Victoria, but it is expensive....

Enjoy!

Sooke Harbour House is on my list of Top Ten Inns of the world. It's a very special experience impossible to duplicate anywhere else. The cuisine at the restaurant is recommended highly by professional and amateur foodies all over the world. The setting is spectacular, the gardens fragrant and gorgeous . . . utterly perfect place for R&R and romance. Get a room with a hot tub . . . The Underwater Orchard room has one on it's little deck which is screened by lavender and greenery so you indulge a la natural. There's a wonderful fireplace, fresh flowers and breakfast in bed (or elsewhere, if you wish). Do go, you'll adore Sooke Harbour House.
