Shopping in Oahu

Where is the best place to shop in Oahu, not tick-tack tourist junk, decent stores, not out-of touch high end but nice quality shopping, perhaps an outlet centre or such.

Ward's Warehouse, Ala Moana Mall. There is even a Nordstrom's Rack, but, it that what you are going to Hawaii for? To shop?

You can find directions, hours, and store listings for the Waikele outlet mall here:

Have never been there myself.

Ala Moana is the largest shopping mall on Oahu. It has your 3 department stores (Sears, Macy's and Neiman Marcus) and mid level stores such as Gap, Gymboree, Sephora, MAC, A&F, Ann Taylor, Nine West, etc.,

A good many of the stores now comprise of luxury goods retailers. As an example - Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, Tiffany, Ralph Lauren, Escada, St. John, Armani, Louewe, Celine, Burberry, Christian Dior. There are more, but I don't recall all of them. I would say it's about 50% high end.

The Waikele outlet mall has a good mix of stores - Levi's, Max Studio, Saks 5th Avenue, Barney's, Nine West, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger. It's out of the downtown area, but I've seen there are shuttles that take you there.

Well ever time I have been to Oahu I have spent a bit of time shopping for fun things like a bathing suit, sandals, summer clothes etc. It has always been fun and a good memory of Oahu after returning home. Why not?

Thank-you to all for responding....
I wrote it all down, and to answer your question SoccermomN14: one of my highlights of holidays is SHOPPING. of course I have not chose Hawaii for the Shopping (I'll go to Vegas for that). But being a hockey mom of 3, & married to a hockey player my time for shopping at home is limited, and we have 3 weeks in Hawaii, I think I may find a little time to shop...
Thanks again for the input......
Much Appreciated!!!
