You're leaving from Terre Haute and, two days later, you're arriving in Los Angeles? And you want to know what to see or do?
What to do: drive on the interstate, avoiding major cities during rush hour.
What to see: a lot of concrete.
Sorry to be nasty, but Mapquest says you'll be driving for over thirty hours -- and that's with no stops for gas, bathroom, food, sleep, etc. It's do-able, but only if you take my advice above.
Ok. Sorry i didn't mean what is there to see and do but still make it there in two days. It doesn't matter how long it takes us to get there we have two weeks. Just need to get some ideas on what 5 friends can do and see on our journey to Cali.
There's a lot to see and do between the these two states. Problem is, something WE might find thrilling might be a complete bore to all five of you -- and vice-versa. We can give you a much better answer if we know what types of experience YOU are hoping for along the drive.
A good place to start would be specifying what you plan to do once you get to the Southern California coast.
I've driven that drive in anywhere from 2-5 days. When we drove it in 2 days, we stopped in Utah along the highway to look and take pictures or stopped in Vegas for an hour or two of gambling (you can park free at most of the casinos on the strip). We stayed overnight in Colorado and Utah.
When we drove it in 5 days we did a lot more sightseeing. Botanical garden in St. Louis, Red Rock Amphitheater in Denver, an overnight in Vegas, etc.
