If the Aerodrome is doing a show, there will be neat vintage aircraft to see. Not far is the Hyde Park area with the FDR and Eleanor homes and one of the Vandebilt homes and the Culinary Institute of America does great things with food. We've only been once, but it was a treat.

What are your interests?
It's about 10min from Omega to downtown Rhinebeck, and another 10min to Hyde Park.
In Rhinebeck you have several good restaurants, a cute, little downtown with some shops. 1/2 way between Omega and Rhinebeck is the Rhinebeck performing arts center. There may be a show this weekend.
A little further south of Hyde Park is Poughkeepsie. The one thing possibly worthwhile would be to visit the Walkway over the Hudson. You get great views up and down the Hudson Valley from 200' above the river on the old RR bridge, now a 1.5mi long pedestrian walkway.
In the other direction you have the town of Millbrook about 15min away, and a nice winery by the same name. In the same Millbrook area there's the Carey Institute for Ecosystems studies - they have some nice hiking trails open to the public. And also the Innisfree gardens - a lovely place for a stroll.
About 10min from Omega to the due south is a nice little cafe called Wild Hives, located on Salt Point Turnpike in Clinton Corners. Open and busy for breakfast and lunch only. It's right off the Taconic parkway if you're headed up that way and looking for a stop.
There's also plenty of apple picking in the area.
If any of these strike your interest let us know and I can give you more details.

The website is http://walkway.org/
It's an old railroad bridge over the Hudson River that was converted to a pedestrian walkway a couple of years ago. Nice views of the river. Not much color here yet though.
To get there, head south on Route 9G to Poughkeepsie. The main entrance (parking charge $5) will be on your right after entering the city. If you go a little further to Washington St. (where 9G makes a sharp right) there's another entrance and you can park for free on most of the streets in that area or in the city lot just beyond the walkway. Just watch the signs if you park on the street (you can't park on Parker Ave / 9G near the main entrance). Access to the walkway is free. It closes at dusk (probably around 6:30 these days).

usroadman has given you good info. Colors you can see from the walkway should be quite nice on Fri. It's a long bridge (1.5mi end to end), so give yourself enough time to at least get to the middle & back. A bike makes the trip a lot easier.
I believe the closing time is now around 6:30. The official, paved parking lot has a pay station and is $5 for up to 4hrs. If you go there on Fri afternoon chances are good the open, dirt parking lot will be open and unattended, and thus free. On weekends there is an attendant charging $5, but usually not on weekdays iirc.
There's a neat little restaurant literally right next to the walkway on Washington St in Poughkeepsie on called Crave that I want to try. I've stopped in and it looks quite interesting, but I've not eaten there. I'm usually on my bike when I go through there just passing through.

I have another favorite restaurant in downtown Poughkeepsie called The Artist's Palate. I would not go out of my way to go there, but if you're in Poughkeepsie to visit the walkway and looking for a nice place it's close by.
My favorite restaurant in Rhinebeck is the Terrapin. I don't think you'll get into any of the CIA restaurants on such short notice - it's peak leaf peeping time so lots of visitors passing through the area.
