There are sooooo many car services. Wanted as nice a vehicle as we can afford to p/u from airport. How can we tell who's reputable or not? Anyone know any sites that rate them or personal experiences? TY

Are you looking for a car service (which has full-size sedans and vans and things)? Or a corporate limo company which has real limousines, from regular to the giant white or silly colored ones they use for weddings and proms (a white Bentley? A stretch pink Hummer?)
The former will cost about the same as a cab (this is Carmel, Tel Aviv etc) and the cars are usually a couple of years old and the condition is up to the driver (it's his car).
If you want a corporate service the cost will be significanlty higher - even for a regular sedan and more still for a real limousine (regular - not silly - stretch Cadillac or Mercedes).
Am not aware of any site that rates them. Those mentioned above are fine for what they are - alternate to a cab.
How much of a splash are you trying to make? $100? $500?
I've always found Carmel reliable, and that's the car sevice I use. Airport pickups aren't too expensive you wait and call when you arrive; they then send the car and are usually there by the time you've collected your luggage. The number is 212-666-6666 (easy to remember). The cars are fine ... though not "limo" quality.
I've been hearing complaints about Carmel recently.
The cars from Carmel and Tel Aviv are owned by the drivers so there's no certainty about how nice they'll be. These are more expensive but I think you can be more certain of a nice car.
