NYC- next week can't wait to return

Last year about this time we spent 2 days in NYC and had a blast. Went to the PROducers, Glengarry, Glen Ross. Walked the brooklyn and went to the Tenement Museum

All good suggestions from you fodorites.

Ready for some new suggestions. Any goood cruises Plays or musicals this year we shouldn't miss. Other tours that are great.

What about the Apple greeters for tours.

Is the top of the rock a restaurant or just a viewing spot?

Look forward to hearing from you all.

Top of the Rock is an observation area, but you'll find some restaurants in the basement area of 30 Rock as well as around the skating rink (which is a restaurant this time of year).

How about a gallery tour, food tour or scavenger hunt? Check out www.watsonadventures.com, for example. Also Time Out New York for gallery and other tours.

Enjoy NYC!

Where do you get tickets for the Top of the Rock?

Someone mentioned a place on fifth avenue that has a great view and you can get drinks or food.

As always thanks for the help.

I don't know when you're coming, but by all means try to get tickets to 'The History Boys'. Amazing play!

Go to www.topoftherock.com for tickets and other information. The view is great, especially at night. You cannot get drinks there.

If you want a Big Apple Greeter try to reserve one now. They have many more requests than Greeters - esp in the summer when a lot of people are on vacation.

Check out www.foodsofny.com for a food tour of the Village. My 16 year old daughter and I took the tour in April and thoroughly enjoyed it. Worth every cent!!

We have taken the Circle Line Harbor lights cruise and enjoyed it. I would advise against the dinner cruises because I think you can dine much better at a restaurant. Do the cruise and then go to a nice restaurant for dinner.

Is it the Zephyr and does the cruise pick up at South Street Seaport or is it the battery park cruise?

Thanks for the help.

Are you sure the website for Top of the Rock is www.topoftherock.com? When I tried it a hotel in the Ozarks came up.

Top of the Rock is a great idea.

As for plays, you can't go wrong with "Faith Healer" and "The History Boys." They are both fantastic.

Musicals? It was a pretty sad season, but I really enjoyed "Sweeney Todd." "The Drowsy Chaperone" is pretty good too.

Enjoy!
