Niagara Falls B&B
Going to Niagara Falls for anniversary weekend. Anybody ever stay at Absolute Elegance B&B (It looks nice on their web site: http://www.aebedandbreakfast.com/ or can anybody recommend a real nice one in the area? Is this B&B in a good area?
Thanks.

I would recommend looking at B & Bs and even hotels at Niagara on the Lake, Ontario-a beautiful town about 20-25 minutes from Niagara Falls. The tourist area of Niagara Falls, USA is not really very nice once you're away from the Falls. Accomodations are generally much better on the Canadian side. Your American dollar will go much farther in Canada also. $1 US is about 1.50 CDN. Also, since the openning of the Casino on the US side of the Falls, parking has become pretty bad. About the only reason I can think of staying in Niagara Falls, USA vs. the other areas I recommended is if the primary purpose of your trip is to spend time and $$ at the casino or if for some reason you cannot cross the border into Canada.

Here's another recommendation for Niagara-on-the-Lake. Though, there are some wonderful looking B&B's along the Niagara Parkway, just north of the Falls (on the Canadian side). There's also a place called the South Landing Inn in Queenston (halfway between the Falls and NOTL). Looks like a motel on the outside, but the rooms are country inn gorgeous (so you get the privacy of a "motel") and comfortable - many with jacuzzis and/or fireplaces - all at reasonable rates.
There are many more romantic restaurants on the Canadian side. And, due to the configuration of the Falls, the views are just far more spectacular, not to mention the magnificent landscaping job done by the Canadian Parks Commission.

I agree with the above posts. The area surrounding Niagra on the Lake has many very upscale wineries and restaurants, and I would highly recommend the wine tour. There is also an absolutely beautiful town called Jordan about thirty miles north of NOTL. There is a wonderful B & B called Inn on the Twenty and a five star restaurant of the same name across the street. We spent our anniversary there and enjoyed it very much.
