New England XC & Downhill Skiing Week Trip mid-March, Reasonable prices

We're interested in going to a place in New England for a week. Would like to be able to do both cross country and downhill skiing. Thinking VT, NH or ME. Would like to stay at the same place all week and do a variety of outdoor activities. Plus if we can do snowshoeing but not important. Three of us--my husband, college daughter and myself. Reasonably priced. We'll be driving and can go anywhere. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Stowe, VT; Jackson, NH; Sunday River, ME

But you have left this really, really late since you will be competing with college students for lodging. It is the heart of Spring Break for many.

Any suggestions for possible places in New England that might have both xc and downhill skiing? I'm also concerned about whether we will be able to find anything at the last minute, but since we are open to going anywhere in New England, I'm hoping that we'll be able to find something. Thanks for any suggestions you have!

Jackson is famous for cross country trails and us near Wildcat for downhill.

It is low key and not as likely to full.
