Hi! would like some suggestions about Marathon, florida. this will be our base of operations for a 4 day stay in keys. have 2 adults, 1 18 yr old, 1 12 yr old. like different and as non-touristy or chain-based as possible. thanks!

We rented a condo in Marathon, you can google to find all sorts of condos for rent. Our favorite snorkeling was at John Pennekamp State Park in Key Largo. The Stuffed Pig for breakfast, the Keys Fisheries for a lobster reubon, and a trip to the No Name Pub are on our todo list everytime we visit. Pick up a tourguide for a boat to rent. We kayaked under the 7 mile bridge. Going to the 7 mile bridge to watch the sunset is a fun thing to do. Pigeon Key was fun, as was driving to Key West. Hope you haven't already gone on your trip, but if you have hop you enjoyed it.
