Luxury hotel in Scottsdale
We are thinking of going to Arizona with our young daughter next february. I have never been to Arizona and am wondering on opinions on some of the luxury properties out there. Am considering the Phoenician, The Canyon Suites at the Phoenician and the Four seasons. Any thoughts? Is the four seasons in a very remote location? I'm getting that feeling. Looking for relaxing, spa, maybe some horseback riding and sight seeing. TYA

Which city are these hotels in? If in the Phoenix area, don't try to book anything the week around Feb 1. The Superbowl is being played there. We have a need to stay near there then and had to book at Apache Junction.

Have you considered the Scottsdale Princess, close to the 101 access...Kierland and Scottsdale Quarter nearby with wonderful restaurants. There is also the Westin at Kierland, walking distance to Kierland shopping village with many restaurants, beautiful walk in the evening. There is also bag pipe player to enjoy by the fire at Westin. Plan on a day trip to Sedona, cannot be missed. I am fortunate to live here, it is an incredible time of year to visit, but as Margo says, choose wisely those dates. Enjoy your planning.

Not to be antagonistic, but a young child at some of the top luxury hotels in Scottsdale in winter may garner you some bad looks. Not my logic, but the case.
Along with the Kierland, consider the Kimpton FireSky in Scottsdale. We spent a night there last winter. Nice and good location. A better fit IMHO with a young child.
Also, better check the prices. Luxury - Scottsdale - Winter = hefty price.
