Lunch spot with easy access to 95N around Fredricksburg, VA
Good morning. I will be driving from North Carolina to Alexandria, VA next week. I would like recommendations for a good restaurant in or around Fredricksburg. I will be accompanied by my seven year old namesake so a historical tavern or something with a little special air would be nice. She enjoys a variety of food and is very well behaved.
Thank you.
Thank you.

cmcfong,
This is not exactly what you're looking for but here are a couple of suggestions for Fredericksburg that might be a little out of the ordinary for the young cmcfong.
Allman's BBQ (the original location) is an adorable little diner atmosphere with great BBQ and friendly service. They do burgers, hot dogs and grilled cheese too. Think formica countertops and chrome spinning stools.
You might follow that up with a trip to to Carl's for old fashioned soft serve custard.
It's not Giffords, mind you, but it's pretty darned good. Not eat in but walk up like old Dairy Queen's used to be.
Have a great trip and I hope you'll post a report after your adventure!
