I'm trying to research areas of the U.S. southwest that would be best for my health; I need to relocate to somewhere with low humidity, desert, warm temps, lots of sunny days, stable weather without snow. I have Fibromyalgia which is aggravated by my Iowa weather. SW Utah was wonderful, but some of said it would be lonely for a single person. Any suggestions for locations that have good medical care, but not the high cost of living of Las Vegas? I'm 48 and will be on long term disability.

Las Vegas is one of the cheapest places to live in the U.S. It's goimg to be harder to find someplace warm and cheaper, maybe El Paso or San Antonio?

Nordicgirl, sorry to hear about your Fibromyalgia. My daughter has that, too, and one of her doctors even diagnosed RSD.

Phoenix has a Mayo Clinic and I thought of moving there for my daughter. Tucson has a pretty decent hospital attached to the University of Arizona and housing is a bit less expensive than Phoenix.

I will echo the suggestion of the Phoenix area. Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert are really growing.

You might also want to consider the Coachella Valley area (surrounding Palm Springs).
