Looking for a nice romantic restaurant near the Ontario Mills Mall
Hi! I am looking for a nice, romantic restaurant near the Ontario area (near the Ontario Mills Mall). If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it! Thank you for your time! (something nice and not over $100 for 2 if possible)
Thanks!

How near is "near"? Will you have a car? If so, which direction is most convenient? That particular area is rather devoid of fineries, but there are some nice restaturants in Riverside, to the south, and Claremont, about ten miles east. The Sycamore Inn on Foothill Blvd. on the east edge of Upland is an nice, older place. Provide a little more detail on requirements and I might be able to help.

Rosa's on Vineyard Avenue - right off the 10 fwy is a wonderful Italian restaurant though a little on the pricy side.
I agree that Sycamore Inn would meet your needs. And I like the idea of heading over to Claremont. The village area is quaint and offers some of the best food in the region. Arrufio's is a favorite for my wife and I. But keep in mind that with traffic, you might be looking at around a 30 minute drive to Claremont.
If you like steak, there is a nice restaurant right there outside of the Mills - something about NY in the name. Quite a nice place definitely caters to an adult crowd. If you want to stay in the immediate area, that would be my choice. I'm sure your hotel might be able to help out with the name or check the Mills website.

Try Misty's at the Doubletree Hotel. I know that many people are opposed to hotel restaurants, but there are some really good ones near the Ontario Airport. I think it came from the fact that there are so few truly good restaurants in the area and the hotels met the need. I have spent many romantic dinners at Misty's with my wife.

Aruffio's in Claremont is a favorite for a romantic restaurant and delicious Italian cuisine. Please note however that while the village area is nice, most stores along here tend to close very early. But the village is near the Claremont Colleges and the neighborhood is very safe. As you wander the area, you might also come across a restaurant bar with live music to enjoy while having an after dinner drink.
Claremont Village is located off of the 10 fwy. Get off at Indian Hill - take a right (head north) and then take a right at 1st Street. The village will be on your left hand side. Just park and roam.

There are at least five very good restaurants in the Village in Claremont. The three that sound closest to what you need are: (1) the above-mentioned Aruffio's,located just north of First on Yale, (2) another upscale Italian restaurant, Tutti Magli, located at First and Harvard; for afterwards, across the street is a nice little bar/restaurant (the name escapes me) that some nights features live jazz or blues, and (3) Yianni's, a family-run Greek restaurant at Bonita and Yale (not quite as formal as the others, but comfortable, cozy, with great food and service). Scott mentioned the Pomona Valley Mining Co. It's actually about fifteen miles west of the airport off the Dudley Ave. exit in Pomona. I've been going there for over twenty-two years and have never been disappointed. The view is fantastic and the food is consistently very good (steak/seafood). It has a large bar/nightclub across from the dining room. Misty's has more of a continental menu, and Sam is correct--it certainly is not a "hotel restaurant." In fact, of those mentioned, that might be your best bet. I hesitiate only because a couple of times I've not been as happy with the results as other nights, but it certainly is a nice place. Perhaps it was during the hotel's transition from Red Lion to Doubletree that caused the problem, and that was years ago now.
Anyway, good luck--there are great restaurants in the area, it just takes some effort getting there.
