La Perla in San Francisco?

Any suggestions? I would like to try on to determine my size and don't wish to travel to Rodeo Drive or South Coast Plaza.

It's a little difficult to determine what kind of answer are you looking for here. Are you trying to find out whether La Perla has a location in San Francisco?

Hi, koshka!

You have great taste!

Loved your Limoncello!

Try Alla Prima on (Grant? Bush?). Only heard about the place from a friend.

Google it to see if La Perla has a store in San Francisco. If not, check the better womens lingerie department in the better department stores.

Johanna, I thought that was self-evident. GoTravel, I did that, which is why I know where the locations are in LA. And I checked the "better department stores" already.

And hello, easytravler! Glad you liked the limoncello! Thanks for the tip about Alla Prima; JUST what I was looking for.

And yes, they do carry La Perla.

We now have a Laperla shop here but I've bought the line before it opened at Neiman Marcus here in Boston.
An example of sizing, a French 90 is our 36

I was asking where in San Francisco I could find La Perla lingerie. (seemed obvious to me and to EasyTraveler)

Since I had already exhausted the google options and looked at SFA, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus, I hoped that my friends at Fodors could help me out.

They did.

To answer your question, yes, I think you are at least pretending to be dense.

NM is still carrying the line. In the film "Le Divorce" Isabel shops in Paris at the La Perla shop.

Trip Report (as requested)

Seeking to combine my desires for exercise and "foundation" options, I began my stroll down charming Geary Boulevard, with my interim destination of Union Square.

DH and I shared some "browsing" choices at Ferragamo and NM before he headed off for the bookstore and I set off up Grant Avenue. Weather was brisk, and I spotted several of our typical visitors, shivering shorts wearing Midwesterners. Sweatshirt vendors were doing bonanza business!

Avoiding the temptations of dim sum and deceased ducks hanging in the window through Chinatown, I crossed Columbus Avenue at the Broadway near the Condor (now a Sports Bar; I fondly recalled the days of Carol Doda and the "killer piano").

Alla Prima is a smallish store, but they do carry an array of fine European lingerie, including La Perla. The charming saleswoman, Allison, was very helpful and willing to spend a lot of time with me to achieve the correct fit. (her hands were not too cold either!) I would highly recommend this store to anyone! I look forward to visiting the Hayes Valley store where I understand they have a larger space and more items. I doubt Scarlett's male salesperson will be there tho. ;-)

I was sorely tempted by several complete sets (bra, panties, long silky nightie in lavender and bra, panties and sheer overshirt) but limited the damage to a single bra from La Perla's Occhiali Verdi line.

By now, it was nearly 4, so it was time to walk home. One of my favorite SF walks is up Vallejo from Polk to the top of Russian Hill and then into Chinatown and North Beach, so I decided to do that walk in the opposite direction! *puff, puff, pant, pant* I'm getting ready for the Setti Colli di Roma!

A quick stop at the Pet Food Store on Washington and I was ready to bus the last few blocks to home.

DH completely "supported" my purchase! OOO-La-LA indeed, cigalechanta! or as we say at our house, Woo Hoo!
